Summary
Portuguese majolica cabbage leaf design coffee pot and lid, one serpent forming the handle, and one forming the spout and base. Lid in the shape of two leaves sits on top. Some damage to leaves on upper pot. Stamped on base. Cf the rest of the service SNO.C.57.1-2 and SNO.C.56.
Provenance
Purchased from P.S.Head, Sudbury, Suffolk on 23rd June 1945 for £4 10s. Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
