Summary
Sword; Katana, (Japanese sword) with signed blade. Signed on tang, under handle. Long steel blade with brass ferrule and two brass spacers. Metal and lacquer tsuba (inventoried separately 1328822/SNO.A.216). Wooden handle covered with cream fish skin and black textile webbing. Metal kachira (missing) and ferrule with raised snail decoration. Menukis of metal in the form of a creature. Black lacquered wooden scabbard with hole for carrying strap.
