Summary

Weapon pole - Wooden pole from a Japanese weapon, blade missing. Possibly a naginata. Black painted raised bands along top third alternated with brown and cream fish skin. Below this is gold painted cord textured grip. Blunt metal spike at end.

Provenance

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
