Summary
Sword; Wakizashi, signed by Kanemoto, prehaps Seki Magoroku Kanemoto II about 1500. Tsuba engraved with a figure with his hands on his knees and a large cat seated by a river under the moon and tree. The blade is mounted on peach coloured cord handle with bronze end engraved with figure. There is a similar engraved band at the blade end of the handle. A copper fitting between tsuba and blade. Previously displayed in the Green Room - sticky label 3. Scabbard (SNO.A.292.2) is also in store (box 109).
