Summary

Hand guard - Tsuba (sword hand guard). Skull among grasses (in gold relief), known as Nozarashi. Reverse shows moon behind a cloud. Some rusting on reverse.

Provenance

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
