Summary

Hand guard - Tsuba (sword hand guard). Dashio, signed Esshu No Miochin Yoshihisa Saku. Figure under trees. Reverse shows three figures, one with a staff pointing and the other with a scroll or carpet. Also on reverse is a sticky label with unidentified number '3A'.

Provenance

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
