Summary

Shield; Jingasa (Japanese shield). Circular, wooden with conical raised middle. Black lacquered and painted with two gold bands and three gold Arima family crests. Interior of red lacquer with four small leather loops; centre of stiffenend material. Small hole to side.

Provenance

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
