Shield; Jingasa (Japanese shield). Circular, wooden with conical raised middle. Black lacquered with gold painted decoration of leaves around edge and floral motif at base.. Interior of red lacquer with gold flakes and four leather fastenings for ties

Given to the National Trust with Snowshill Manor in 1951 by Charles Paget Wade.
