Liberty & Co, Regent Street, London, 8th June 1942 £20 for three sets (A60/66/64). Charles Paget Wade notebook number 377:' Suit of Armour. Iron Helmet of 68 plates with Stags Horns in gold above a grotesque mask. neck guard of black & gold lacquer, braided dark blue & coral red. Body piece of lacquer on leather in horizontal (sketch of detail here) fluted bands. Small shoulder guards the same, also Tassets. both have the lowest row of gold. braided black & coral red. apron of green brocade with narrow black lacquer plaques, lowest row in gold. Sleeves green brocade under mail & gold plates. leg pieces gold plates. mounted on Japanese figure. Long Sword with Red lacquer sheath. fr.London.'
