Summary
Naval sword, the blade being engraved with nautical symbols - anchors, rope, knots, crown and foliage. Top of the blade inscribed 'LONDON MADE'. Brass hilt with lion head, cord and tassel with gold thread. Part of hand guard hinged with hole to engage pin on scabbard. Crown, anchor and rope in relief on front of guard. Matches scabbard (SNO.1328728.2/A.28.2). In notebook no.2, page 22 (1340945.2) Charles Wade refers to: 'Admiral 67 Naval Cadet's Sword'. Includes sketch.
