Summary
Sword with scabbard (1328727.2/SNO.A.27.2). Naval sword of standard issue, brass hilt with shagreen grip. Decorative blade inscribed with crown, anchor and rope and foliage. Top of blade inscribed 'JOSEPH FIORINO AND Co MALTA' on one side, and star of David with ‘proved’ in the centre on the other, and '1650' on the edge. Left hand side of hand guard hinged with hole in. Hole engages a peg on the scabbard to hold sword in scabbard. Given to Charles Wade by FP Hart who was a close friend.
