Summary
Sword; Rapier. Curved, cup-shaped metal hand guard where blade meets wooden handled hilt. Curved bar joins cup to end of hilt. Two quillions extending from cup form a crossguard. inscription on blade reads 'Puna pella patria'. Potentially Portuguese c.1660? CPW Item number 46 (Dragon).
