Caption
The Reverend Oswald Reichel, the only male owner of A la Ronde, made many changes to the house. He removed the thatch and replaced with red Victorian roof tiles. The Drawing was extended by removing 2 internal walls. He installed dormer windows in the roof space to create bedrooms and dressing rooms. Thankfully he was sensitive to the artistic creations of Jane and Mary. The feather frieze in the Drawing room remains intact and the shell gallery untouched.
