Summary
One of a pair of peasant shoes, made from kid leather with cotton inserts, which are embroidered with floral designs. Possibly Bulgaria, 1907. The shoes were previously mounted on a stand and have had holes cut in the base to accomodate the metal post. Part of Lord Egerton's collection of ethnographic objects once displayed in the Tenants' Hall.
