Summary
A woven spruce root bag made by Native Canadians. The bag tapers to a point which is bound with a circle of fibres; leather hanging strap attached to top of bag. Associated label. Part of Lord Egerton's collection of ethnographic objects once displayed in the Tenants' Hall.

Collected by Lord Egerton in British Columbia c.1907.
Marks and inscriptions
Associated label. Native bag from either the Pelly River 1907 or White River 1902/3 both in the Yukon or BC. Probably made of spruce root. (The White River is more likely or is it Matabele?)
