Summary

A circular Somali shield made of oryx hide, with central raised boss and outward curving lip. The leather decorated with incised linear patterns. Hand grip and strap. Collected by Lord Egerton Somalia, 1937. Part of Lord Egerton's collection of ethnographic objects once displayed in the Tenants' Hall
