Summary
A large lyre from Kenya with round soundtable which is painted on the reverse. Bridge of hollow reeds and wooden support for the 10 strings (1 missing). The size of this object suggests it is of some importance and possibly associated with royalty. Part of Lord Egerton's collection of ethnographic objects once displayed in the Tenants' Hall
