Summary
A day bodice, part of a set with a skirt, made circa 1850 and remodelled between 1880 and 1890. Made from purple silk twill weave ground weft, brocaded motifs with a design of sprays of flowers. Trimmed with black cotton machine lace edging, self fabric bow at the back and purple silk unbalanced plain weave taffeta as edging.
