White marble, Paris wearing a Phrygian Cap, mid 19th Century. A portrait bust of the shepherd Paris, who, in Greek mythology, was called upon by Zeus to judge who was the most beautiful among Hera (Juno), Athena (Minerva), and Aphrodite (Venus) and it looks as if he is turning to gaze at the three goddesses.
