Summary
A cover for a George III silver gilt cup, English, made by Paul Storr in 1809. Two handled cup and cover of classical form, fluted at the base of the body and applied with two bands of scrolls, one side is embossed with three horses and the reverse engraved with the inscription 'The Newmarket Cup, 1809, won by his Royal Highness the Duke of York's mare Nymphina'.
