Summary
A pair of flintlock pistols, circa 1800. Metal caps to the stocks and gold inlay along the barrel. Barrel; round iron barrel, engraved at the breech. Retained to the stock by a band of brass wire. False wooden ramrod carved integrally with stock. Stock; wooden full stock inlaid with brass geometric rondels. With crude chequering to the upper side of the grip and carving to the barrel tang apron. Steel furniture comprising; bulbous pommel cap with spur finials, trigger guard with spear form finial, pierced sideplate with mask design and one baluster form ramrod pipe. Scroll form trigger. Lock; engraved flintlock of flat form with bevelled edges. Retained to the stock by two sidenails.
