Summary

One of a pair of mahogany window seats or banquettes, circa 1810-1830, possibly made by Gillows of Lancaster. Scroll, fluted and carved ends, fluted tapered supports, with carved paterae, cane seat and sides, squab cushions.

Egerton collection devised to the National Trust in 1960 by Maurice, 4th Baron Egerton of Tatton (1874-1958)
