Summary

A mahogany corner chair or nursing chair, mid-Victorian. Low with turned spindle back, turned so as to simulate three bamboo sticks, with a single arm and arm pad. Turned upright and turned supports.

Provenance

Egerton collection devised to the National Trust in 1960 by Maurice, 4th Baron Egerton of Tatton (1874-1958).
