Summary
Vase, one of a pair, porcelain, of ovoid shape with escalloped and flared rim, rabbit-form side-handles, painted in iron-red, black and gold with polychrome enamels; on one is a large panel with a woman under wisteria in the style of an 18th century woodblock print, and the other with a scene from the Tale of Genji (Genji Monogatari) executed in the Tosa school style which specialized in courtly subjects, Arita, Japan, c. 1880-1910.
