Summary

Large fruit dish, hard-paste porcelain, of boat shape, in the Rococo taste with reticulated sides, encrusted with flowers raised on four branch supports and painted with birds and bouquets in colourful enamels, gold details, crossed swords in underglaze blue, Meissen, Germany, circa 1850-80.

Provenance

The 1909 Heirlooms at Tatton inventory records ‘Dresden China Pierced Basket with flowers in relief’ in the Music Room.
