Summary
Small greybeard, bellarmine jar, plain, found upside down beneath hearthstone of 16th C. house in 1885. Now Appledore P.O. (1960).
Provenance
Found upside down beneath the hearth stone of a 16th century house in Appledore, Kent, in 1885, by Charles Poole, who pulled the house down. It stood where Simm's (1900) and now Boorman's grocer's shop now stands (now Appledore P.O. (1960)).
