Summary
A silver photograph or picture frame with a curved top which is engraved with the decorative initials of Flora St Clair Mander, the wife of Samuel Theodore Mander. The hallmark on the top left front corner indicates that it was manufactured in Birmingham in 1896 by George Unite & Sons, a silversmith based in Caroline Street, Birmingham. The frame is empty with a plain backing card which slides in. On the reverse of the frame in the top middle section is the remains of a hinge.

Front- top centre: F.ST.C.M. Front- Top left corner: George Unite's maker's mark followed by an anchor, the mark for the Birmingham Assay Office, the date letter of w for 1896 and the Lion Passant (sterling silver standard mark).
