Summary
Embroidered panel - Large rectangular embroidery panel of Burne-Jones painting 'Love and the Pilgrim' in gros and petit point. An angel leading man in red robes across stepping stones. 'Outline drawn on canvas by Morris and Co. and worked by J.Wise at the Bromley School of Needlework, 67, Widmore Road, under the supervision of Mrs Watts.'
Provenance
Presented to the National Trust in July 1972 by Mrs Wise's daughter, Mrs Constant.
