Summary
Enlarged photograph of original black and white photograph of Geoffrey with his second wife Rosalie, taken in the library at Wightwick with their children. Photography was a passion for the Mander family. A dark room was added to the Malthouse and a large collection of photographs are still in Wightwick's collection. Rosalie is shown at a typewriter, refering to her career as a writer. Using her maiden name, Rosalie Glynn Grylls, she wrote books about English Romanticism and the Pre-Raphaelites, including her biography of the artist Dante Gabriel Rossetti- 'Portrait of Rossetti'. Geoffrey holding his newspaper references his time as a liberal MP, he was also a writer and ran the family firm, Mander Brothers which manufactured paint, printing inks and varnishes in Wolverhampton. White mount; glazed in narrow oak frame with gilt border.
