Summary
An oak firescreen, British, the square screen formed of a panel of chequerboard needlework with a variety of embroidered letters, with gold-painted mount and glazed cover, in oak frame. Embroidery created in 2002 by Wightwick Manor staff and volunteers to mark the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. Frame attached with swiveling hinges between two square-section uprights with moulded edges on splayed and shaped feet, the uprights joined by a stretcher.
