A Burmese bamboo and red lacquer hsun-ok or offering vessel, with a large bowl on a waisted foot and lid in the form of a stepped stupa-like spire, the finial broken off. The red lacquer with bands of intricately painted scrolling foliate ornament on a black ground and applied thayo relief.
