Summary
Chalk and wash drawing, Woman with an Issue of Blood by Ford Madox Brown (Calais 1821 – London 1893), 1873. Christ followed by two blind men with SS. Matthew and James at the left, meets the woman, who kneels at the right, on a path leading to the sea with lighthouse in the background. Glazed in ribbed black wood frame. There is a stained glass pane of this design at St Lawrence Church, Isle of Wight. The window, along with other Morris and Co. designs, was relocated from St Luke's Hospital Chapel when it was demolished in 1974.
