Summary
Red chalk drawing on paper, Alexander Munro (1825–1871) being supported by his Wife, Mary by Arthur Hughes (London 1832 - Kew 1915), 1870/1. The heads are fully finished, the hands partly so, the hands merely indicated. Munro, who had worked with Hughes for 5 or 6 years, was dying of tuberculosis.
