One of a pair of candlesticks titled 'Ranelagh dancers' and made by the Derby porcelain factory in the 1830s. The figurine depicts a male guest of the masked ball held at Ranelagh Gardens in 1759. The gentleman is wearing a tricorne hat, a cloak, and a theatrical costume.
