Summary

Nobel Prize for Literature 1926 George Bernard Shaw's certificate for the Nobel Prize for Literature, awarded in 1926. A leather bound certificate on velum, with Shaw's initials embossed on the front cover. Hand calligraphy with gold paint and leaf. Signed.

Provenance

The Shaw Collection. The house and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust by George Bernard Shaw in 1950, together with Shaw's photographic archive.
