Caption
Gwelo Goodman first exhibited his Indian watercolours at the Leicester Galleries in January 1905, when he was himself back in India painting for a second show. This work, which is signed 1905, was therefore probably bought by Bernard Shaw from the artist’s second sale in March 1906, in which catalogue no. 30 was ‘The Jumma Musjid, Delhi.’
