Summary
A desk calendar in black stained wooden frame on stand. Front covered with silver frame (hallmarked), concave with wavy-edged decoration, around glazed opening. Four cards printed on both sides with days of week and month, (Sundays in red, rest in black) giving seven choices, and instructions covering years 1924 to 1929. Three cards printed on both sides with months in red for placing behind so that month shows through windows in other cards. A transparent sheet, mounted on rollers turned by knobs at top of frame, is marked with red horizontal lines which can be positioned to show date by covering dates already past. Door at back, hinged at base and held closed by two brass turnbuckles, a leaf spring inside to hold cards and sheet against glass.
