Summary
A pair of black-painted wooden crutches with black rubber ferrules. Black leather-covered rests, each with two uprights supoported on springs in brass tubes. Possibly the same crutches as used by Shaw when he broke his ankle in 1898 (see Gibbs, A Shaw Chronology).
Provenance
Part of the Bernard Shaw Collection. Bequeathed to the National Trust in 1950 by George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950).
