Summary
A silver carriage clock. Case moulded with wave pattern on back and sides crossed by diagonal band of scrolling leaves, similar scrolling leaves on top and around glazed dial. On four paw feet. Silvered dial with Roman numerals. Three position lever control on base marked "Gde Sonnerie", "Silent" and "Pte Sonnerie". Green leather-covered case included in this inventory number, in centre compartment of scriptoire F/66. Hinged lid and sliding cover to window in left hand side. Leather carrying handle. Cream velvet lining with ribbon inside lid inscribed with crown and "LE ROY (and) FILS /TO H.M THE KING /57, NEW BOND STREET /LONDON" contains double-ended brass key, length 2 ins. marked 28808.
