Summary

Four square decorative mats made up of pieces of silk damask, red and possibly blue originally, lined with silk and interlined with cotton? twill coated linen so that they are quite stiff). Backed with cream taffeta. Edged with a wide metal (gold thread?) braid. Two pieced/seamed.
