Summary
Skirt. Woman's evening dress skirt, part of a two piece dress. Pale green satin, flared with 4 stay tapes inside to retain an undulating profile at the back. Evidence of stitching on the face indicates decorative elements have been removed. Hook and eye fastening at the waist and centre back placket. Pale green taffeta fixed lining with deeply pinked frill at the bottom hem, to show just beyond the hem turning. Cream taffeta facing at hem which is stiffened to hold flared profile. Stamped with number on a silk label: '61722'. Paper label inscribed in ink and stitched to waist states: 'Green satin evening dress made by Doucet of Paris for Miss Fraser in May 1896.'
