Summary

Coronation cup of George III design, the ovoid body embossed with a band of vines above repousse leaves and with scroll handles on pedestal foot with foliate and fluted border; the body engraved with a swan and inscriptions, the spool shaped cover with foliate border and bud finial.

Provenance

Swanage Horticultural Society Coronation Cup, the reverse of the cup is engraved with Winners and Mrs Bankes, Kingston Lacy (Gardener Mr J Hill), 1911, 12, 13, won outright.
