Summary

A pair of child's chairs, rattan and cane, probably European, early 20th century. With a rounded seat and back, on cabriole legs with x-stretchers. The chairs are visible in photographs of Ralph Bankes (1902-1981) as a child.

Provenance

Bequest of the estates of Corfe Castle and Kingston Lacy made to the National Trust by Henry John Ralph Bankes (1902-1981). NT ownership commenced from 19th August 1982.
