Summary
Print - Engraving backed with hessian, Classical Garden (after Jean Lepautre) by Pierre Mariette II (Paris 1634 - Paris 1716). Classical garden with palace on riverbank 'P. Mariette ex.' These 17th century engravings are not in good condition but stable and at some time have been housed in loose leaf book which has left holes with rusted edges. Whether the hessian backing was applied as a repair/strengthening or as a backing possibly for applying to walls direct (print room style) is not clear.
