Summary
A toothbrush, or razor, dish, white-glazed ceramic, with turquoise (or blue celeste) enamelled rims and maroon (or puce) transfer printing, retailed by T. Goode & Co., of South Audley Street, London, circa 1870-1900, the underside of the dish marked 5867. The cover NT 1250769.1. Part of a larger wash-stand set including a basin (NT 1250767), a soap dish (NT 1250768), another basin or bowl (NT 1250770) and two jugs (NT 1250771 & 2). Of oblong form, with moulded rim and two shallow ridges to its base.
Provenance
Bequest of the estates of Corfe Castle and Kingston Lacy made to the National Trust by Henry John Ralph Bankes (1902-1981). National Trust ownership commenced on 19 August 1982.
