Summary
A part-bedroom, or washstand, service, white-glazed ceramic, transfer-printed in blue, made by Minton and retailed by T. Goode and Co. of 19 South Audley Street, London. One of several sets (and part-sets) of this type of washstand ware at Kingston Lacy. See also NT 1250698, 1250828, 1251006 and 1251007. This group comprising a chamber pot, wash basin, two wash jugs, a sponge dish with drainer, a toothbrush/razor dish with cover, a pair of candlesticks and a soap dish with cover and drainer.
Provenance
Bequest of the estates of Corfe Castle and Kingston Lacy made to the National Trust by Henry John Ralph Bankes (1902-1981). National Trust ownership commenced on 19 August 1982.
