A letter of Concern from Eleanor 'Nellie' Vyner, née Shafto, 1837 - 1913

Full description

Ronald Greville was about to have an operation in London for cancer of the larynx. Nellie of her husband seemed to know the surgeon and was trying to reassure Margaret Greville, his wife. Written on headed writing paper from Chateau St Anne, Cannes, France on 26th March 1908. Top is over written - Let me know of …..I can do for you here. Dearest Maggie, I hope for ….you telephone....I think is first rate....I am to tell you he had absolute faith in him, his care and in ...superb.I trust....can be quite happy about him.I see your dear father is with you.....Yrs v. aff Nellie Vyner Really difficult to transcribe. There is a second letter from Nellie at Chateau St Anne written after Ronnie's death. NT 1248657
