Written on headed writing paper from 30, Hill Street .W. Dated 2nd April (Thursday 1908) My dear Mrs Ronnie, I am delighted to hear from the best authority that the operation was a complete success and that there is very little chance of a reoccurrence of the trouble. I am so pleased for your sake of course, the poor fellow will suffer terrible pain & discomfort for a short time but it is a blessing, and it was taken in time. Just off to Highclere till Saturday to Newbury races, on my return on Sunday Ronny may like to see me in which case I hope you will let me know. With kindest regards, Snly your, Westbury.Re letter of 2nd April. Highclere check their visitor book. Lord Westbury is there for the Newbury races 3-4 April 1908. My poor dear Mrs Ronnie, I have just returned and heard the very sad news & I cannot say how sorry I am for you, if I can be of the slightest use to me pray command me in any way as I am quite free and I should be so pleased to be of assistance to you in your terrible distress. believe me with much sympathy, Very sincerely from Westbury
