Summary
A Letter of Condolence from Alice von André née Wedle Jarlsberg 1859 - 1941
Full description
Captain The Hon Ronald Fulke Greville died on 5th April from pneumonia following an operation on 31st March for cancer of the larynx. This letter was sent to his widow, Margaret Greville. Written on headed writing paper. From 8, Rue de Presbourg.(Paris) Dated 18th April 1908 Dear Mrs Greville, I am so sorry for you and wanted to see you to tell you so, but I heard you left The Ritz last night for Cannes. You must be so wretched and sad I think so often of you and wish I knew better how to tell you how grieved I am for you. Your father will be your great comfort now and all your interest will be centered on him, more than ever before. It is bitterly cold here today you did well to go South yesterday. With much love and all our sympathy. Affectly yours, Alice van André Alice and her husband were frequent guests of Margaret Greville at Polesden Lacey
