A Letter of Condolence from Lady Muriel Gladwys Worthington née Finch 18881 - 1940

Full description

Captain The Hon Ronald Fulke Greville died on 5th April from pneumonia following an operation on 31st March for cancer of the larynx. This letter was sent to his widow, Margaret Greville. Written on headed writing paper from the Old Hall, Netherseale, Ashby-de-la - Zouch April 7th written in ink My dear Mrs Greville, Although I have not seen you in a long time I feel I must write you a line & say how terribly sorry I was to see the sad news of dear Captain Ronnie's death in the paper yesterday. He was always so kind to me at Packington before I married and he was my littler Ronnie's Godfather. Please accept my deepest sympathy in your great sorrow. Yrs V sincerely, Muriel Worthington Lady Muriel Worthington, wife of William Worthington Worthington a millionaire businessman. Their son, Ronnie’s Godchild, named Albert Ronald was born in 1904, another son named, William Greville. was born in 1903.
